Alliance for the Development and Advancement of Saint Louis du Nord
“Every Child Deserves an Education“
ADAS (Alliance for The Development and Advancement of Saint Louis du Nord) of New York, NY (USA) is a humanitarian and non profit organization whose purpose is to contribute to the health and educational development of the city of Saint Louis du Nord located in the North West section of Haiti. ADAS, born in the year of 2001, has fifteen registered members. Despite our tiny budget, we proudly pledged five thousand dollars towards restoration of the Catholic Church of Saint Louis du Nord. In addition, for three consecutive years, we have sent boxes of pharmaceutical products to the following regions: Port de Paix, Saint Louis du Nord, La Pointe and Bonneau.
During the catastrophe caused by Hurricane Jeanne (2003), we sent a donation of five hundreds dollars to the organization “Kombite Gonaives” for the victims affected by that cyclone.
Saint Louis du Nord is calling upon all of you at this critical moment to lend a hand in assisting in the development of that city. The city of Saint Louis du Nord has been existed without electricity for almost a decade. Clean running water is non existent. By the grace of a French organization, the main street of Saint Louis du Nord was cemented in 2005 after 400 years of existence. Now the citizens can breathe better air. Our assistance helped change conditions for the better. It is time to continue actions for the renovation of Saint Louis du Nord.
The existence of our nation is threatened. We believe that it is imperative that the regional organizations of each city and community play a significant role. We cordially salute the associations of Saint Louis du Nord of Boston and Miami and everyone concerned human being to join this fight of salvage. Will our brothers and sisters unite in a communal perspective in order to give a response to the harsh living conditions that the inhabitants of Saint Louis du Nord are currently confronting?
Dear friends, there is lot to do. There must be a mutual effort and heightened of consciousness from each one of us. We opt to put in place a permanent committee for the success of our plan. I encourage you to participate at this grand konbit of solidarity for only the tradition will keep our demarches.
Thank you all for your support.
In unity,
Daniel Dareus,
President of ADAS
